How we have often wondered to have a time machine, which could straight away take us to the bygone era. While, that is still an unrealised dream, one can reach any era virtually by just looking at a good collection of coins and stamps..............

Monthly Meeting of March 2012

The monthly meeting of March was held at the Head Post Office, Pandeshwar on 11.03.2012. The President welcomed the gathering and briefed the members of new the development.



Mr.Nagendra Nayak presented his collection of stamps and other materials of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India.There were about 250 stamps, Miniature sheets, and covers on the subject.Stamps and philatelic materials like postmarks of Jantar Mantar of Jaipur, Kaziranga National Park, Fatehpur Sikri of Agra, Humayun's Tomb, Red Fort, Pattadakal,Hampi etc. were exhibitied.He informed the members that he was not able to get any material on two of the sites like Bhimbetka Caves in Madhya Pradesh and Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park.Nagendra has a collection of picture postcards and is a member of Postcrossing.

Monthly Meeting of February 2012.

The monthly meeting of February was held at the Head Post Office, Pandeshwar on 12.02.2012. The President welcomed the gathering and spoke on the main highlights and activities after the last meeting.




Mr.M.K.Sadashivayya a senior and one of the founder members of our Association exhibited his collection of stamps on subjects like sports, Scouts and former U.S.S.R. He had a vast collection of stamps on the subjects. Being a document writer in profession he also had very old hand written stamp papers which he had exhibited at the venue and also a collection of different pens.

Dr.G.G.Laxman Prabhu exhibited his collection on the topic "Rotary on Stamps". There were different stamps on the subject both Indian and foreign and many special covers. Some of the eminent Rotarian s were also present, both members and non members they were welcomed to the exhibition. Dr. Prabhu being a charter President of Rotary explained about the stamps to the members and guests present.







 New members were introduced at the meeting, members were present in good numbers, philatelic and Numismatic subjects were discussed. M.K.Sadashivayya made arrangements for refreshments to all the members present at the meeting. The meeting which started with a silent prayer to the demised members and the kin of the members concluded with vote of thanks by the Secretary.
