Christmas stamps – India.
India Post had issued stamps on Christmas on 08.12.2008, Stamps collectors were overjoyed by the news that they were finally able to send Christmas Cards and other posts by using the Christmas stamps from India. Now, the Christmas mailing is almost over and the much awaited stamps from India Post is yet to arrive at Mangalore Philatelic Bureau. It keeps us wondering if the stamp released was for the year 2009?!!!
Well, this is not the story of just one stamp, many of the stamps released even a month back are yet to arrive at the Bureau, (the list is long) whereas a few are available at select Bureaus. The distribution of stamps is in complete chaos. The answers from Officials of India Post at different levels are dissimilar and vague. There seems to be no solution at sight, what will be the future of Philately of in these circumstances? Will the year 2009 will be any better? Only time can answer these questions.
Dear Members, We need your active support and voice, your comments will be most welcome.

It was also decided by the members present to conduct a non-competitive exhibition in the month of February 2009. I t was also decided to write a letter to the Higher Officers of the India Post to make aware of the problems faced by the Philatelist and the non-arrival of released stamps to the Mangalore Philatelic Bureau.
